Amber Lee, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

I founded Sage & Clarity Mental Wellness on a simple belief: every person deserves to be heard, understood, and cared for as a whole person—not just a set of symptoms.

Mental wellness is shaped by far more than a diagnosis. Sleep, nutrition, movement, relationships, stress, spirituality, and a sense of purpose all play a role in how we feel. At Sage & Clarity, my goal is to help you understand not only what you're experiencing, but what may be contributing to it. Together, we'll look at the full picture—and I'll provide the education, tools, and support to help you take meaningful steps forward.

A graduate of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, I am trained in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions across the lifespan. My approach is warm, collaborative, and judgment-free, with an emphasis on helping you understand your diagnosis, treatment options, and the reasoning behind your care.

How it works

Care that begins with curiosity

Mental health care is personal, and there is rarely a one-size-fits-all answer. Care begins by understanding what you are experiencing, how it is affecting your life, and what you hope will change. From there, we work together to create a treatment plan that is both evidence-based and realistic for you.

Initial consultation

A thorough psychiatric evaluation covering your history, symptoms, and goals — so every decision that follows is grounded in a complete picture of you.

Collaborative treatment plan

Together we design a plan that may include medication, therapy techniques, and lifestyle recommendations — always with your active input and informed consent.

Ongoing check-ins

Follow-up appointments keep your care responsive. Medications are adjusted, goals are revisited, and your plan evolves as your life does.

Empowered maintenance

The goal is not only symptom improvement, but helping you understand your mental health and treatment so you can make informed decisions and feel confident in your care over time.

Questions

What to expect before your first visit

Starting psychiatric care is a meaningful step. These are the questions most new patients bring — answered plainly so you can walk through the door feeling prepared, not uncertain.

Do you accept insurance?
I partner with Headway to handle insurance — including verification and billing. You can check your coverage directly when you book through the Headway portal. Reach out if you have questions about your specific plan.
What conditions do you treat?
Sage & Clarity provides care for depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD and trauma-related conditions, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other mental health concerns for patients ages 12 through late adulthood. Unsure whether your concern is a fit? Reach out — the intake process is designed to figure that out together.
Are telehealth appointments available?
Yes. HIPAA-compliant video sessions are available — all you need is a private space and reliable internet. In-person visits are also available at The Garden in Lubbock, TX (4031 112th St, Lubbock, TX 79423).
How long is the initial evaluation?
Initial psychiatric evaluations are typically 60 minutes. That time is essential to understand your full picture — not just current symptoms, but personal history, lifestyle, and what you're hoping to achieve through care.
How do I book an appointment?
Appointments are booked directly through Headway — click "Book an Appointment" on this page. You can check insurance, select a date and time, and complete new patient intake paperwork all in one place. New patient inquiries are typically confirmed within 1–2 business days.
